Red football lentils – whole dehulled lentils that hold their shape better than split
Crimson – small whole lentils with a brown seed coat and red kernel, also known as brown lentils
Broken red lentils – broken pieces of dehulled red lentils, suitable for soups, purées and further processing
Origins: Canada, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and India. Availability per type and crop year on request.
Specifications and Packaging
All our red lentils – split, football, Crimson and broken – go through double Sortex cleaning. The second optical sorting pass catches foreign material and defective grains missed by the first, bringing purity to 99.9%: close to X-ray sorting quality at a lower cost. X-ray sorting is available on request at an additional charge.
Packaging options are 25 kg bags or big bags of 1,000, 1,100 or 1,200 kg. The minimum order is one full container load, and red lentils can also be combined with other products in a mixed container. Ask us for a special offer.
Feel free to share your specifications and requirements with us.
Applications
Red split and broken lentils cook quickly and become soft, which makes them suitable for soups, dal, purées, ready meals and milling into lentil flour. Red football lentils keep their shape better and suit dishes where whole lentils are preferred.
